    I know these threads can be annoying, and I am ashamed! But I've put off upgrading too long, and could use a little advice. Most specifically (other than if I made really really bad choices or something) I'd like a suggestion for an appropriate power supply, and also if anyone knows, will the heatsink and fan that comes with the processor in the box really be adequate for: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115070

    I'm not messing with the video card atm (it does plug into the power supply), but I may after I see how it all runs with this.

    RE: heatsink, yes that will be fine.  I recently built my machine using the same fan/heatsink and it's great - nice and quiet and the system doesn't seem to have an issue.
